The work shared below was made by the students in my 3D Foundations course at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in the fall 2014 semester. The first project was a team building project of making newspaper towers. The second project was a body extension using a wire armature and mixed media coverings. The third was a chipboard or thin cardboard reproduction of an object. The fourth was a foamboard abstraction of an object. The fifth was a group project of a full-sized, functioning cardboard chair.
